 Lace With Pearl House, Mooring wed in Princeton 12 June 2008 — Brenda LaShay House of Selma and ChristopherBlaney Mooring of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ringceremony April 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church withthe Reverend Justin Thomas officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jerome House ofSelma and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gaston Bensonof Selma and Connie House and the late JR House of Selma. She is a 2000 graduate of North Johnston High School and a 2002graduate of Johnston Community College with a degree in AppliedScience. She is employed at Johnston Community College as anAdmission Coordinator. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Braswell of Port St.Lucie, FL and the late Donald Mooring of Goldsboro. He is thegrandson of Edna Braswell of Fremont, Eliza Odom and the lateCharlie Odom of Goldsboro, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mooringof Goldsboro. He is a 1990 graduate of Rosewood High School and obtained a degreein Forestry from Wayne Community College. He is employed full-timewith the Army National Guard in Smithfield, as Sergeant FirstClass. The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage byher parents. For her wedding the bride chose a formal gown of pearl white satin. The strapless princess lined gown featured re-embroidered lace,pearls and sequins with a fitted bodice to the natural waist. Thefull A line skirt was enhanced with a trimming of pearls and lace.The semi-cathedral train had two boxed pleats at the back with handbeaded buttons down the bodice, skirt and the cathedral train. She wore a romantic tiara of freshwater pearls, crystals andrhinestones with a two-tiered white veil accented with freshwaterpearls that fell to a fingertip length. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of all madame delbond red rosesand greenery, with a sheer white ribbon wrapping the stems withpearl heads. Jessica House of Summerville, SC was her sister-in-law’s maidof honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Allen of Benson, friend of the bride; AndreaMooring of Florida, sister of the groom; Tracie Smith of Princeton,cousin of the bride; Sandy Brinchek of Kenly, friend of the bride;and Christina Wilson of Four Oaks, friend of the bride. Eric Bass of Clayton was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Jay House of South Carolina, brother of the bride;Jay Odom of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom; Alvin Odom ofPikeville, cousin of the groom; Bill Odom of Kenly, cousin of thegroom; and Shane House of Pine Level, cousin of the bride. Christopher Blaney Mooring Jr., son of the groom, was the ringbearer. Emily House, niece of the bride and Haleigh Mooring,daughter of the groom, were the flower girls. Donna Stephenson, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Mr. and Mrs. Benard Armwood,Kindergarten teacher of the bride. Program attendants were TabithaBass of Clayton, friend of the bride and groom and Katelyn Edwardsof Princeton, cousin of the bride. A program of wedding music was provided by Sherry Cuddington, ChrisRaynor, and Phyllis Edwards. Bonnie Oliver, Randy Heath and MichaelStarling served as videographer and sound technician. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the churchfellowship hall. The reception greeter was Randy Heath ofPrinceton. Leon Stevens, cousin of the bride served punch. Samantha Stevens,cousin of the bride, served the three-tiered wedding cake. Bubbles,Love Tins, and Photos of the Couple were distributed by KatelynEdwards, cousin of the bride. Reception farewell was given by RandyHeath and Eric Bass, best man of the groom. The bride and groomleft on a horse and carriage, provided by Terry Hogg of Kenly. Events held prior to the wedding include a wedding shower on March8 at Grace Baptist Church, hosted by the bride’s mother(Brenda House), grandmother (Connie House) and aunt (Lee Perkins). A bachelorette party was held on April 5 in Raleigh, hosted by herbridesmaids. The groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Grace BaptistChurch in Princeton, catered by Holt’s Lake Barbeque. After a honeymoon trip to Gatlinburg, TN, the couple will reside inPine Level. Back to this week's News Leader
